Gaucho Steel knives are made to be cleaned immediately after use. Wipe clean after each use with a dry paper napkin, cloth or piece of bread. Natural steak oils will also preserve the knife.
If you wish to clean your knife, simply wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Before storage apply a thin coat of knife oil to the blade, wipe o and re-sheath.
To preserve the natural beauty of your handle, apply wood furniture cleaner or wood oil on a regular basis.
NEVER put knife in dishwasher.
NEVER leave soaking in water.
NEVER use soap or detergent on your knife.
*Carbon steel/Acero Criollo blades will rust if not oiled regularly.
